Semsema is a beautiful Persian-mix cat who has been living on the streets for more than 10 months. During this time, she has given birth to three litters, with around 10 kittens in each litter.

Thankfully, she was rescued just in time, before she had the chance to become pregnant yet again.

Semsema is extremely drained and weak after everything her body has endured. She will need approximately five weeks of medication to treat the severe inflammation in her mouth, as all of her back teeth have fallen out. She will also need multivitamins to help replenish her body, restore her strength, and support her recovery. Additionally, she will need a spray to treat the ringworm she has.

She has also tested positive for blood parasites, which means she will need three weeks of medication to recover. In addition, she needs a kidney/liver-friendly diet to support her health. After 3 weeks, we will redo the tests to make sure she is doing better, before the operation is done.

If the results come back normal, Semsema will then get spayed and have a dental scaling performed at the same time. She will then remain under care for approximately three weeks, until her surgical wound has completely healed and she is strong and ready to begin the next chapter of her life.


Update: Semsema has had her spaying surgery and will need about two weeks to recover. She also has a very deep mouth wound that is taking longer than usual to heal, so she’ll need an additional month and a half of boarding while she continues her treatment and recovery.
