I. Animal Information

•  I certify that everything I mentioned on my animal’s profile is factual and true.

•  I certify that I did not leave out important information (medical, behavioral, pregnancy, etc)

• I understand that writing a full description of my animal will increase their chances in finding the right home. 

• I certify that I will regularly update my animal's information if anything changes for my animal i.e. new vaccinations, spay/neuter, new behaviours arising etc.

• I understand that adding any external links in my animal's profile may bring me potential adopters that Leaf Animals will not be able to screen.

• I certify that I have medically tested my animal and did not leave out important medical information.

II. Approval and Fees

• I understand that uploading an animal on the website does not guarantee approval of the profile.

• I understand that 

• I understand that the subscription fee of 150, 200, and 300 EGP is non-refundable once I have submitted the profile.

• I understand that if I would like to discuss my animal's adoption in detail with Leaf Animals, either on Zoom or on the phone, I will be asked to pay a non-refundable consultation fee of 300 EGP or the equivalent through this link Book a Consultation.

III. Animal Care and Responsibility

• I understand that Leaf Animals is against breeding dogs and cats.

• I understand that any animals above the age of 1.5 years are required to be spayed or neutered to protect them from diseases.

• I certify that this animal is locatable and not on a random street.

• I understand that the adoption process takes time to ensure success and that Leaf Animals will not adopt an animal out because I am in a hurry to get the animal adopted.

IV. Pictures, Profile Updates, and Social Media

• I understand that pictures increase my animal’s chances. Click here to read the photo guidelines.

• I acknowledge and agree that Leaf Animals retains the authority to modify my animal's name in circumstances where I have not designated a name, such as when "No Name," "Not Named," or "Choose a Name" are entered in the Name field.

• I acknowledge that the names of black cats or dogs, such as 'Blacky,' 'Black,' 'Bakar,' and similar, will be subject to alteration.

• I understand that if the photos I used don’t follow Leaf Animals’ photo guidelines, my animal will not have a special post on Leaf Animals' social media accounts.

• I understand that my animal will not get a special post upon my request. 

• I understand that my subscription only entails social media stories not posts.

• I understand that subscribing without uploading the profile, will not keep the animal's profile for the duration of my subscription. Ex. If I subscribed to the Bronze Paws subscription in January and I created the profile in February, my animal's profile will be on the website for two months rather than three months. 

• I understand that Leaf Animals choose certain types of pictures for 'Individual Posts' and that not all animals on the website will have a 'Individual Post on Social Media.

• I understand that Leaf Animals social media follow a schedule and there are no on demand posts. 

• I certify that I will regularly update my animal’s profile if it is missing any information at the time of upload.

• I certify that if my animal is younger than 1.5 years old, I will regularly add more recent photos to their profile as they grow.

• I understand that if my young animal's (puppy or kitten) profile isn't regularly updated with new pictures, they will not be posted on social media stories.

• I understand that Leaf Animals will delete my animal's profile if it hasn't been updated for three months with new pictures and/or information i.e. age, vaccinations, spay, etc. 

• I understand that Leaf Animals will not disclose social media schedule and planning. 

• I understand that being posted on social media posts is not part of my subscription and that my subscription only entails two social media stories per month.

• I certify that I will not comment on my animal's picture or post on social media as this allows potential adopters skip Leaf Animals process. 

• I understand that Leaf Animals will not be sharing my animal on social media stories if they are wearing, choke, prong, bark/ e collars, surgical cones, carried in the air, grabbed by the collar, and if there are people with them in the picture. Click here for more photo guidelines

V. Adoption Process and Decision

• I understand that I have the final decision on who gets to adopt my animal.

• I understand that Leaf Animals only review, filter, and approve applicants and do NOT have the final decision on who gets to adopt, foster or sponsor my animal.

• I will set aside time during the transition period to help my animal get to know their new guardian and home.

• I understand that if my young animal (kittens or puppies) are younger than 10 weeks and are still with their mothers, Leaf animals will not adopt them out until they reach 10 weeks of age.

VI. Liability and Contact Information

• I understand that Leaf Animals are not liable or responsible for the behaviors, actions (or lack thereof) of the person applying to adopt, foster or sponsor your animal.

• I understand that Leaf Animals follow force-free methods when it comes to animal behavior and training.

• I agree that Leaf Animals may retain the contact information that I have supplied for the purpose of marketing and contacting me.

• I understand that if any of the terms and conditions are broken, then Leaf Animals or their authorized representatives have the right to opt out from the adoption process.

• I understand that if Leaf Animals find an adopter for my animal, and they contact me, failing to get back to them in 48 hours will result in removing the animal from the website until further notice.

• Please make sure to check your email or contact information on a regular basis to follow up on your animal's profile.
