Bonnie showed up near my home and began coming on walks with my dogs in the morning. It was obvious when we first saw her that she had advanced mange and a distinct limp. She was scared of most people. Because she was hanging around our neighbourhood, I gave her Bravecto and my neightbour and I started feeding her (she was impossibly skinny when she first showed up). She became friendly with my neighbour and I and our dogs but remained fearful of others. After some time, my neighbour and I decided that she should be looked at by a vet and probably spayed. It took us a few days to actually catch her because she was fearful of having a collar put around her (perhaps she had been tied up that way). When we took her to the vet to be checked and spayed, we found that he hip was broken earlier in her life and healed improperly, giving her the limp. She was spayed and vaccinated and cared for at the vet while she healed. She now is back and completely healed and vaccinated. She is now getting comfortable with people and probably would not survive on the street.
