CNR New Cairo is a community program that was set up to help control the population of street animals in New Cairo by working with veterinarians that spay/neuter and vaccinate the animals. In 2019, co-founders Leila El Atreby and Reem Ayed set up an official Facebook page where they can share the program's progress and updates with the public and it was also a way for the community to reach out and learn more about TNR. All of TNR New Cairo's operations are funded through donations from members of the New Cairo community and beyond. TNR New Cairo is partnered with professional veterinarians and dog catchers who are great with animals and passionate about saving lives.
