Sherine and Robert are a retired couple residing in Cairo, Egypt. They moved from the UK at the end of 2019 and started their rescue mission for street dogs in January 2020. Over the past three years, they have rescued over 40 dogs, many of whom were left for dead after being hit by cars, beaten, or tortured. Although they do not actively search for dogs, they often come across them in their daily lives and take it upon themselves to provide care and love to these animals.

Rescuing dogs is a costly endeavor, and Sherine and Robert take full responsibility for their well-being. Each dog they rescue undergoes full vaccinations, testing, microchipping, and spaying/neutering. It typically costs up to £1,000 to prepare a dog for travel and get it to Europe or Canada, excluding their medical treatments. Despite being financially limited in their retirement, Sherine and Robert cannot bear to see an animal in need and will always do their best to help. They have a deep love for all animals, including dogs, cats, and any other animal in need.
