Ready to Travel:

My family brought Zam (Zamazenta) (Also known by the names T-Rex and Handsome Good Boy) in to our home to protect him from being killed by poison on the streets near our house when someone started targeting his pack and surrounding packs.

Since then he has proven to be exceptionally smart, kind and loving. He was automatically house trained without any effort. He walks well on leash, and is capable of being alone without being destructive. He is patient with our two young and very active kids. However it is a full time job keeping them away from him. We wanted so much to be able to keep Zam, but it seems this is not the season for us to have a dog. With two young children, busy jobs and a lot of international travel, we are struggling to keep up.

Zam has worked through a lot of things that were challenging in the beginning: protectiveness in the house, resource guarding, and being able to sleep well through the night. Zam loves his people dearly and wants to be in a home with someone he is bonded with.

To keep him stimulated indoors, we give him a mix of healthy chews. Zam also likes stuffed things, tugs and snuffles. He does not understand catch and return but, when he trusts you, he enjoys the keep away game and can jump in the air like a bunny, it is the cutest thing! He also has a white tipped tail and when he walks, he kind of prances with the tail bouncing up and down. He is just truly a beautiful boy inside and out!

Zam likes his walks, but is not overly active now that he has settled into home life. He would love to have a few friends he could play with off leash (doesn't have to be in your home). I think he does miss zooming around and playing since we don't have a garden.

Zam is truly a handsome good boy. We love him so dearly, but know that keeping him is a disservice to our family and to him. We are praying he finds his person. We know he will make an amazing companion to the right person/circumstance and want to give him the chance to have that.

Other things to know about Zam:

- he was poisoned eventually while with me. I was able to get him treatment quickly and no organ damage occurred.
- he is up to date on vaccinations and has a vaccination book
- He has been treated for blood parasites, but needs to be re-checked to make sure they are cleared
- He has been de-wormed and taken bravecto for insects
