Marshmallow is an adorable, almost 3-year-old Yorkie-Maltese mix with a gentle heart and a sweet soul. Sadly, he was abandoned by his previous family due to difficult work circumstances. With no one able to care for him properly, he was left alone at home for long hours every day, which led to his eventual surrender.

Despite everything he’s been through, Marshmallow still greets the world with kindness and trust. He’s vaccinated, neutered, and gets along well with other dogs. While he hasn’t been tested with children or cats yet, his affectionate nature makes us hopeful.

Due to the circumstances of his abandonment, we don’t have much background information. However, when we met him at the shelter, he was immediately friendly—eager to play and interact with both people and other dogs. He’s truly a little sweetheart with so much love to give.

Marshmallow has a heart condition with an enlarged heart, which requires daily medication and follow-ups every three months. He is also likely not potty trained. His future family should be patient, compassionate, and willing to help him settle into his new life. Since parts of his history are unclear, it’s important that his new home is open to learning about his needs as he continues to adjust.
