Luna is a lovable Baladi dog with a distinctive white spot around her neck. Sweet, gentle, and playful, she enjoys interacting with other dogs, kids, and people. She has a special fondness for sand and grass, often rolling around and showing her playful energy.
At 4-5 months old, Luna was easily potty trained and used her pee pad indoors. However, since she is currently staying at a boarding facility, she may need a gentle reminder to re-establish her potty training routine.
Luna is comfortable with a leash and adapted to it quickly. She knows the "sit" command and would benefit from further training to expand her skills. While she requires daily exercise, she is equally happy to relax indoors.
At bedtime, Luna loves to cuddle on the bed but prefers to sleep on a comfy mat or bed on the floor.
Luna is a bit anxious during car rides, likely due to rare exposure. She sometimes drools and shows discomfort but may improve with more training and positive experiences.
Surprisingly, Luna enjoys visits to the vet, especially if she gets to meet other dogs.
Luna can be a little jealous, especially when other female dogs approach her owners, but she has never shown any serious aggression. One area to be mindful of is her food aggression, which is common in Baladi dogs, especially those who have spent time on the streets. It's best to feed her separately from other dogs to avoid any issues.
Anyone who is lucky enough to have Luna will experience one of the sweetest, most playful, and loving dogs I've ever encountered.
