Meet Hero. He's almost a year old, and he's one of the strongest little dogs I've ever met. We named him Hero because that's exactly what he is.
When we found him, he had a terrible injury to his front leg. The vets did everything they could, but unfortunately it couldn't be saved, and he had to go through an amputation. Watching such a young puppy go through all of that was heartbreaking, but he never gave up. From day one, he kept fighting, and today he's fully recovered, healthy, and living life like nothing ever happened.
He runs, jumps, and plays like any other dog and honestly doesn't seem to realize he only has three legs. Hero is full of energy and has a big personality. He's very playful, loves meeting new people, and is always excited to make new friends. He loves playing with other dogs, isn't as interested in cats, and will happily play with just about anyone who gives him attention.
I wish I could keep him forever, but I already have several dogs and cats, and I know I can't give him the time and attention he truly deserves. More than anything, I just want to find him a family that will love him as much as he deserves. He's been through so much in such a short life, and I really believe his best days are still ahead of him.
