In September 2025, I found Shamshoon at around 4 weeks old. I was notified about him near my block, around my building. I kept looking for his mom, but I couldn’t find her, which meant she either left him or he wandered off and got lost. Anyway, I kept taking care of him from September until the 5th of November. At that time, he was around 2 and a half to 3 months old—I can’t say for sure. But on the 5th of November, and after looking for hours, I found him in the bushes, unable to stand. I rushed him to the emergency vet, and we found out that he was probably run over by a car. His hind legs were completely fine, his spine was fine—everything was fine—but his pelvic bones were completely shattered into pieces. There was internal bleeding, which we stopped immediately. He survived that part, but the pelvic bones were shattered, some far behind. We knew he needed surgery, but since he was only 3 months old, we couldn’t perform it at that moment. We kept him in a cage-rest to help him heal. And, surprise surprise, after giving him a lot of vitamins for his bones, within just 2 months, we took another X-ray, and we found out his pelvic bones healed on their own. There is a very very slight shift when he walks, but it’s very unnoticeable to the naked eye—Alhamdulillah, he didn’t need surgery. By January, he was fully recovered—jumping, running, and living normally.
By the end of February 2026, he’ll be 6 months old. At the moment, he is at the clinic; he has been there since November. He was a stray from September to November, and since then, he’s been in a cage at the clinic. That’s why I want to find him a home—I don’t want to let him back on the streets. He’s not familiar with them and wouldn’t survive.
I want to find him a loving home as soon as possible, because he’s still in the clinic, mostly in a cage due to other cases. I also want to mention he's scheduled to be neutered and fully vaccinated after Ramadan—I marked this in his profile. If you are able to adopt or even foster him until I find his forever home, that would be so helpful.
A few things about Shamshoon: he is very, very playful, extremely affectionate, and super kind. He loves hugging, being carried, playing, and he adores other cats. His ideal home could be as an only cat or with other cats—he would love it. He hasn’t been tested with dogs. He is active all the time; that’s actually why I couldn’t get a perfect picture of him—he never stands still! :D
