This sweet beagle is looking for a second chance with a family who understands the needs of the breed.
He is currently kept in a cage in a garden, where he has spent most of his life. When he was a puppy he was briefly allowed inside the house, but like many puppies he damaged some furniture while he was still learning. After that he was kept outside and hasn’t really had the chance to learn how to live inside a home.
He has a very friendly temperament and is not aggressive.
I have personally seen him around children aged 3+, and he was wonderful with them. He does not lunge at kids and was very gentle, allowing them to pet and hug him comfortably.
He is also great with other dogs. He does not bark at them and usually seems interested in playing.
Because he hasn’t had many walks in the past, he gets very excited outside and pulls on the leash. It helps to let him run and release energy in a garden first before going for a walk.
Like most beagles, he is curious, energetic, and loves exploring, so he will need regular exercise and mental stimulation.
He can get stressed in the car, which may require gradual training.
He will need:
Patience and time to adjust to living inside a home
Regular exercise and stimulation
Consistent training and structure
An adopter familiar with active breeds or willing to learn
With the right home and guidance, he has the potential to become a wonderful and loving companion.Should be the only animal in the house
