Named after the first dog Ahmed Shurbaji rescued from the streets, HOPE was officially launched in 2015 with 25 dogs under his care. Today, Shurbaji has HOPE I and HOPE II that houses 350 dogs, ranging from baladis and golden retrievers, to German shepherd, pitbulls and more. Since initiation, Shurbaji has flown over 90 dogs to countries abroad and rehabilitated many more. He deals with some of the most severe cases and depends entirely on donations to continue his work. The dogs are kept in separate kennels, which allows him and his team to monitor them more efficiently, but are given playtime twice a day with a pool available to them in the summer heat.
