Felfel was found as a tiny puppy in the shallow water just close to the beach in Marsa Shagra by a guest in the early morning. He stayed with her til she had to go home. We took him into our shelter but during some play with the others he dislocated his hip. He had surgery and a recovery lasting a few months, but unfortunately then dislocated it again requiring more surgery to pin it in place. His hip is now strong but we still don’t let him out unsupervised just in case he gets into some rough play with the other dogs and injures himself again. We really want to find him a home so that he can have more human supervision, which means more time being active which will make his body even stronger.
We are also looking for a foster home for him until his permanent home could be found. Baladi Watch would support for his basic needs (food, medical care, etc), we are just keen for him to have as much human contact as possible as Felfel will never be able to survive in the wild, or even a semi-wild environment. With human contact he can be more active for more hours of the day, which will strengthen his body more.

Felfel is super gentle, good with kids, other dogs and cats, loves to play either alone or with other dogs, loves human interaction and contact, super goofy (!), leash trained and follows basic commands (sit, go inside, etc). He can quite happily amuse himself with a toy for hours but also loves to be with humans and other animals. He loves to play but in a gentle way. He is just a really happy dog who loves life and needs a loving home to be able to enjoy life even more.
