Sabrine and Amal are a pair of Balady sisters rescued in November 2024 at 5-6 weeks old. They had severely infected eyes and received veterinary care for over six months to try to save their eyesight. Eventually, we removed both of Sabrine’s eyes and one of Amal’s eyes, and Amal thankfully retained some eyesight in one eye. They are a semi-bonded pair, although also very independent, and they could be adopted separately. Amal has an adventuresome spirit and is a high- energy cat. Sabrine is much calmer and more cautious, naturally. Both are highly socialized to humans, cats and dogs. In addition to months of extensive medical care for their eyes, both have also been spayed and are fully vaccinated. Although they have impairments, both kittens live vivacious and happy lives. They do not let their lack of eyesight stop them from doing anything. They climb, run and jump like normal kittens, but without all of the rambunctiousness and zoomies chaos that normal kittens bring. They should not be considered ‘special needs’ kittens! They do not require anything extra. They are amazing, truly.
