He suddenly appeared from nowhere, super friendly and wanting to make friends. Unfortunately the resort already has two dogs and they weren't so keen to reciprocate the friendship (!). We looked for his owner through social media because it is clear he has been with people before, he craves human contact and is very clean. We believe he is part retriever, we have had him castrated, vaccinated against rabies and microchipped, and he has passed his titer test. He has also had both doses of DHPPi vaccination. Duke needs a home for life with more love and attention than we can offer him in the shelter. He is quiet, sweet-natured, gentle and loves human contact and affection. As soon as you sit down he comes over for cuddles and hugs, throws himself beside you and will happily lay there for as long as you will allow. Duke is a very special dog with a unique, loving personality. Duke gets along with most dogs, but we have noticed that with one or two individuals he doesn't get along so well. We therefore think he would be better in a single-dog household.
Duke was due to travel in June but unfortunately the circumstances of his UK adopter changed at the last minute and she was unable to take him. He has a valid titer test and all papers, and is ready to travel immediately.
